Team USA continues its 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Group Stage schedule on Monday with a matchup against Greece.

The United States got out to a slow start in its first game against New Zealand, trailing by 10 points early in the first quarter and only leading by one point entering the second frame. It quickly got back on track before halftime and never looked back, coming away with a convincing 99-72 victory.

Team USA was led by reigning Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero, who showed glimpses of his superstar future with 21 points and four blocks. Anthony Edwards added 14 points, while Austin Reaves chipped in 12 points and a team-high six assists.

The United States will be going up against a Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Greece squad that is coming off a dominant 92-71 win over Jordan.

The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup tipped off on Friday, Aug. 25. The Group Stages will run through Sept. 3 with the single-elimination knockout stage beginning on Sept. 5.

The tournament will conclude with the gold medal match on Sunday, Sept. 10.
